Overview

White Line North brings together the thrill of dog sled racing and the satisfaction of growing your own kennel. Get to know your dogs, build an eight-dog team, and guide them from local trails to the Great Northern Tour. Every race is a chance to improve your team, earn a new trophy, and bring home a new trail companion.

Choose from 13 dog breeds, from Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes to Samoyeds and Chinooks. Match each dog's strengths to lead, swing, team or wheel positions, and build bonds between dogs that run together. Your dogs improve through racing, while breeding and raising litters lets you shape the next generation of your kennel.

Call Hike, Haw, Gee and Whoa as you steer through tight bends, tackle climbs and find your grip on slippery ice. Balance speed with stamina, help your team uphill, and slow down at checkpoints to feed your dogs. Push too hard and you risk an exhausted team; take a corner too fast and your sled can tip.

Race through snow-heavy forests, fishing villages and bustling harbours. Follow coastal cliffs to a lighthouse, wind through a frozen river, and climb into glacier canyons and alpine valleys. Later competitions take you past icebound shipwrecks, across crevasse fields and towards a summit finish.

A strong kennel needs more than fast dogs. Keep food stocked, learn each dog's likes and dislikes, and manage hunger, fatigue and rest. Give injured dogs time and veterinary care to recover. Buy and sell dogs, expand your kennel, and raise pups until they're ready to join the team.

The competition doesn't have to end at the finish line. After a career race, meet the rival mushers who finished behind you and negotiate to buy dogs from their teams. Make an offer, consider a counteroffer, and see whether you can agree on a price before their patience runs out.

Spend your winnings on better sleds and harnesses, keep your equipment repaired, and earn your way into tougher competitions. Collect medals and competition trophies, earn trophy cash rewards, and work your way from the Village Derby to the Great Northern Tour.
